Here's a thought amidst the shutdown...
The federal godvernment employs, as we are reminded by the shutdown, a large contingency of things that are an abomination to the private sector businesses...the vaunted nonessential employee.
Who but the godvernment could even come up with a term like that. The word does not exist in the private sector...or at least it is a cancer that needs to be cut out.
The godverment employs a huge number of overpaid coddled employees. In the millions, right? The private sector has more then 6 million jobs that need to be to be filed.
Fire most of the godvernment employees and let them fill those 6 million jobs.
To foist them off onto the unsuspecting private sector would surely be a cruel blow to both fired employees and the private sector.
Hello, Mr. Businessman that I disdain...I'm an ex-federal godvernment employee...and I'm here to help you...but first, I need you to pay me 45% more than your average employee, I only work 4 days a week and only a few hours of the day. Oh...don't worry, I'll be here agitating against you for more pay and fewer hours. I'll organize a union against you during business hours instead of conducting your business.
Never mind...bad idea...
