Re: BollingerBand settings
In Response To: Re: BollingerBand settings ()

Looks like Cocoa had that little day trade move around 5AM to 5:30..while I was sleeping. The best signals were on the 10 minute chart. Entry would have been on the top of the 5:20 bar, when it touched the 4 barMA, and the exit would have been 2 bars down, when it opened just above the lower Bollinger band. This leaves a gap between the price and the 4bar MA that I feel will need to be filled, so I exit here.

Given low volume, and bad fills, I am sure I would have been able to squeeze a $50.00 or so profit out of that if I had bothered to play it. Notice how it turned up and moved counter to the trend a good amount right after that? That is why I prefer to avoid these when the weekly and daily don't match up. Although I have to admit, if the gambler in me was in control, I would have taken the small slice on this one.

I slept through my first Sugar trade as welll....arrrgggg. it looks like there is now a bottom on the intraday charts, but the daily and weakly are still showing great set ups. I will have to wait a few hours and see if there is another good break to play with.
