I invest and don't consume. Many of my tenants have six figure incomes and can't buy a house, at least not as nice as the ones they are renting.
One couple, I truly like them, asked me how did I do it. I told them that I never, even in 100 plus temperatures, run my central air. In winter, I used to keep my thermostat set at 58, however, with nasty gas going up 500%, I now set it at 55.
They told me that they "couldn't live that way". Their household income is slightly over a hunnert and forty large per annum.
I simply responded that decisions have consequences.
What is wrong with "investing without consuming"?
One should pay their own way in life.
