Your post really triggered my interest !!
Fortunately it is not "my position" but there is something to be learned here.
"Place order at 1.80 to liquidate ypur position at open. If no takers then move to 1.85 "
Was Short, Direct and to the Point !!!
My interest here is in how you arrived at the 1.80, 1.85 figures.
Hope I don't confuse this ....
Dan is short 6 contracts of which he cannot deliver.
Total OI is 235
If all of the Longs in that number really want that OJ, Dan is screwed !!
I think you are suggesting that of the 235 OI of which Dan is 6, that some will want to roll to the next contract (currently in backwardation at 173.7) and may likely be willing to settle for the 180/185 figure ???
Then I guess there is the question of an OJ spot market which I am not familiar with as I do not trade the OJ market.
Hope you are willing to respond and clarify this.
