Dan, eyeball the Nov/Jan spread before you place any order, but don't hang around though. The implied engine, if it's on for OJ, and they only recently turned it back on for suger, will give you a better depth of market. If there's no implied engine (the exch will offer Nov at Jan offer + X/F spread offer), and you start bidding for Jan outright, it might cost you alot of money.
So, once again, calculator in hand if necessary, look at the spread offer first. Then decide how to cover, don't be cheap, and don't hang around, on Friday the bids & offers dried up after 15 minutes, there was a burst later on, but don't rely on that tomorrow.
