I haven't reloaded center fire since my bench rest competition days. Two purposes. 1) Save a lot of money. 2) Get the optimum load for 400 yards (never was a 1000+ yard competitor)
I don't even reload for skeet any more, other than 28 gauge or .410. And, that's one easy thing to do. No longer do I hold my hand, catching the spent rounds when the ejectors pop 'em. I just let 'em fly on to the ground. I don't mind tossing $5.50 a round at ammunition for 20 or 12, but it kills me to drop 10 or 11. And, even with the 28 and .410, I reload 'em less than half of the time. I'm still so tight that I squeak when I walk, but I'm even lazier.
I was going to take out the .454 Casull today, but it's supposed to be 15-20 F warmer on Tuesday than today.
I'll let you know if I still possess my right wrist.
