I would love to shoot 400 rounds in a day. I shot 5 boxes a day on doves long ago. Always enjoyed the trying to get the third casing in the air before the first hit the ground (plugged gun limited to 3) with the A-5.

What is the choice here at TFC of one (maybe 3 if you count .22 and maybe a shotgun) rifle if you could only have one rifle? Ammo would have to be common and available. .270? 30-30? .308? 30-06? In NC we have bear and boars. Kind of skews the candidates. One of my daughters lives in the eastern part of the state that has both boars and bears. My son-in-law says he just kills the wild pigs and leaves them for nature to clean uo. He says they ruin crops and anything else they touch. And, the population continues to grow. And, they are extremely dangerous.
