Animal Question NTR

I have 3 feral cats living under my porch. They have been there for about four years. I feed them and we all get along just fine. I have a baby monitor installed so they can entertain me at times.

Now, A good sized opossum that has joined them. They all seem to tolerate each other at a little distance. He hasn't been a problem and he eats the seed the birds throw down from the bird feeders.

My Question; Is a possum dangerous? Do they carry diseases? Should I let it stay until it says it's time to go or give it the boot ASAP?
