From the man that gave us "Criminal Justice Reform" ..... Where someone commits an aggravated crime (from assault up to outright murder) with a firearm ... is given a second chance, third chance, up to infinity ... As long as they're a minority ... as, we all know that it's society that FORCED them into commission of such crimes.

However, for law abiding citizens, President Trump says, "That is why I have called for red flag laws, also known as extreme risk protection orders."

A few years back, before all of the hysteria about the "Scary Black Guns", when the "common-sense gun control" types wanted to ban personal ownership of hand guns .....I was having a conversation with a gun hating acquaintance.

I stated that I would willingly surrender my side arms ... IF everyone, outside of outright active duty military, did the same. Hey, if taking my firearms meant that NO criminals would have them .. Then, why would bodyguards, police, FBI, or Secret Service need to be armed? Taking my guns away means that NO one would have guns, right? Therefore, NO police force .. of ANY type needs to be armed. Right? The individual, with whom I was conversing ... simply didn't know how to respond.
