Re: My guess

I don't know if I could physically handle a job at Wally's World.

Things that I used to do without batting an eye, I now have to "hire out".

Simple example, installing cabinets. When I was still a remodeling contractor, I would hang cabs solo. For the uppers, level out a 2x4 at the appropriate height and a drill driver, impact gun, and piffin screws and you're all set. Oftentimes, someone would ask me how much to install a standard 10x10, and I'd quote 'em $500.00. That was always TOO high or they knew where to get it done for less.

In one of my rentals, I just replaced the cabs and granite. The installation, NOT the cost of the cabs, was $2200.00. I didn't attempt to negotiate as I know that's pretty much the going rate.

Then, simple as simple gets, installl new faucets for the sinks, and new garbage disposal. Only two or three years ago, I would have done it and been out of there in two to three hours.

Between back and neck, I simply cannot perform that very easy function.

Call a plumber, it's $480.00.

So, if I can't do those simple tasks, it's highly unlikely that I could handle Wally's.

You must be in pretty good shape.
