Hi Trout. Actually, they (Chicago youths) seem to have no problem purchasing firearms. Therefore, I believe teaching them to trade, in order for them to have funds to "buy weapons" would be a waste. Rather, if their trading is successful, said monies (profits) should be used for instruction in their (firearm) use.
Seriously, a weekend where one hundred eighteen are shot .. but only three killed .. what a tremendous waste of ammunition. Moreover, how many were missed, in entirety? if over one hundred are shot, but only three die .. I would conservatively estimate that well OVER (special emphasis added) five hundred were shot at and missed.
With only a few weeks were spent .. given proper instruction and range time ... they should be able to kick that "killed" up to well over two hundred.
When I have seen your Chicago "inside-out Irish" holding a sidearm .... sideways ... and not even sighting their target ... I feel sorry for your brethren.
Get them some instruction ... Then, finally, they should be a able to do some good by thinning the herd.
