I once shot a 4 inch group, off hand, at 75 yards with my .44 mag S&W 689 just to prove to a bunch of cops I was capable of shooting that coyote the dog helped me track down right through the heart at 65 yards, off hand, with my 1911 combat commander(it still ran over a 100 yards). Used to shoot plastic oil cans at 400 and 500 yards with my 270. Peppered the chit out of gallon jugs at three hundred yards, off hand, with my AR-15.
