I hate to admit it ... but back in the eighties, I had several friends that were into competitive shooting with 1911s. Most all of them had competition triggers .. one had stoned the original down a crisp four pound pull. They spent hours, days, weeks with me .. trying to get me to better my accuracy ... They'd watch to see if I pulled or flinched ... They all told me that I didn't.
Anyway, another short story made long ... one of them had spent ... good grief .. I don't know how much time trying to help me ... One day, he just looked at me and said... "I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news ... I give up .. You're hopeless."
That is not a story for which I am proud sticking to, but it's the bloody truth.
